Unlock Your iphone 3GS 4.0 Firmware
Firstly let me say that I will never go ahead and just do an “upgrade” on my iphone without researching it completely first. I , like so many other people , went ahead and did the upgrade which then screwed my iphone up an it also wiped off some software that I had on there, that I had purchased.

Work of Art on Bravo- Episode One
Ok so finally a reality show where I get to be an expert – or at least I would like to say I am , I hope my 20 years of art experience counts for something. I am hoping that people will be interested enough in this show that it keeps going for a while.

Paul Kasmin Again and Again Process and Abstraction and Kent Henrickson
What could be better than another great show at Paul Kasmin ?? How about two at the same time…
I have seen a lot of great stuff at Paul Kasmin , both in their main gallery and also in the smaller gallery across the street. They tend to show good solid work and they are very smart about HOW the work is shown, which is just as important.

Barakat: The Gift at Stux Gallery
One of my favorite galleries is Stux Gallery in Chelsea. They have an edgy mixture of programing that is always intelligent , interesting and timely. There is a certain aesthetic I love there and that I relate to having spent so much time in Los Angeles, the city where I believe my soul is from, even though at present I identify as a New Yorker.

Johnston Foster at Rare Gallery
While out doing the galleries last night ( I do them on Thursdays ) I was glad to catch up with Rare Gallery, which is quickly becoming a favorite. Their openings typically seem to be on Saturdays but they have their doors open on Thursdays sometimes, so I was able to catch up with them. They had another great show up by Artist Johnston Foster.

Marlborough Gallery Chelsea : Natural Renditions
It’s that time of the year again when galleries are packed with people just before it goes quiet for a while in the art world, and typically many of the shows are group themed summer shows. This is a great opportunity to see some otherwise up and coming art by newer artists

Claude Monet Late Paintings at the Gagosian Gallery
Going to see the Monet Show at the Gagosian is going to go down as one of the great summer art experiences ever….

Dinh Q. Lê Elegies at P.P.O.W. Gallery Virgil De Voldere Gallery
There wasn’t a whole lot going in out there this last week. Maybe the art world people had to take a rest from all the art fairs the week before. I didn’t get to any of the art fairs this year but that was fine, really, because they can really get exhausting. It all just turns into a bunch of mush and I get very tired and I get a headache and I am not sure what I am supposed to be looking at, or feeling by the end of it.
